Whilst making a living as a creative director for a succession of Blue Chip international design he continued illustration and had to date published six children’s books.
He was awarded the D&AD Silver medal in 1983 for design work for a set of illustrated Post office stamps.
Drawing is at the core of all Johns achievements in cartooning, illustrating and design and as an avid science fiction enthusiast. He is equally at home using traditional art techniques with the latest technology on his Macintosh computer using software like Photoshop, Illustrator and Freehand.
