London Art College Success Stories - Christa Logan

Christas Logan completed the pet portraits course in 2003. Once her course was complete she was asked to have a solo exhibition in the gallery at Harestanes for a few weeks in August of that year. Harestanes is a visitors centre in the countryside just 10mins from Jedburgh, a very popular place with locals and tourist. Its open from April to October each year.

Christas spent many hours over the next few months labouring over beautiful watercolours, some of which you see here on this page.
Left is a watercolour of a swan and her signets, and as you can see above left, it hangs proudly in the exhibition along side Christa herself. Not only did she exhibit her watercolour originals, she also had prints and cards made of her work which were extremely popular.

Soon other galleries and shops were asking her to exhibit and sell her work locally. Among them were Eyemouth Gallery, Glen Douglas art exhibition and from here she has her originals cards and prints in many of the shops and cafes in her local town.
Not only has Christa been hard at work producing artwork for the galleries and exhibitions she also takes commissions for portraits of people and animals. Left you can see Christa along side her  portrait of Jordan her very own dog.

Jordan was on display at her solo exhibition and although wasn’t for sale she received many commission for other portraits from exhibiting Jordan.

Below you can see one of Christas more recent portraits of Finlay.

Once the exhibitions of the summer were coming to a close Christa was approached at the  exhibition and was asked to teach a group of budding artists.

Christa was very hesitant at first but with some encouragement took the classes between September and December 2005.

The classes were such a success she has been asked to continue indefinitely!
