London Art College's Learning Agreement

By enrolling on a course with the London Art College you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

London Art College will supply the learner with written study materials, critiques of work submitted and artistic support for either the duration of the course or up to two years, which ever is shortest. If the learner spends time following the course materials and practising the techniques improvements will be made to their artistic skills.

While London Art College will make every effort to ensure that you have the same course artist for the duration of the course we reserve the right to make a change if necessary.

Students have fourteen days from receipt of their course to return it, in good condition, for a full refund of their fees. After fourteen days the college has no legal liability for the reimbursement of fees irrespective of whether or not the student completed the course.

The college undertakes that the Study Units provided are appropriate and consistent with the statements made to the learner prior to enrolment. The written course materials provided by London Art College are complete within themselves and it is possible for the learner to complete the course in their own time without submissions to the college. However to qualify for the college's diploma / certificate associated with any course it will be necessary to submit all required assignments within two years of enrolment. It may be possible to gain an extension of this time on request, but a further fee will be payable.

Critiques are intended as a way of giving students confirmation that they have understood the techniques described in the course material and help to understand how well they have put those techniques into practice. Critiques are usually prepared personally for the student by the course artist in response to assignments submitted. They can be in the form of an audio tape or in written form, possibly an e-mail. The college will, at it's discretion, recognise the effort and achievement of the student by the award of an appropriate Diploma/Certificate. The college's decision in this matter is final and not subject to appeal.

If a student paying the course fees by instalments misses two payments without satisfactory explanation, they will be deregistered from the course.

If the learner does not submit work or contact the college for a period of twelve months the college will write to the learner warning that they will shortly be de-registered. If the learner wishes to remain on the course, and is within two years of enrolment, then a written request will be required to stay registered.

If you have a complaint about London Art College, its courses or its course artists, please let us know either by telephone or in writing and we will try to rectify it. If the complaint is not handled to your satisfaction it can be submitted to the Association of British Correspondence Colleges for non-binding arbitration.
