Originally trained at Ravensborne College for Art and Design, studying technical and botanical illustration,it was here that Jo discovered her love of Natural History scientific illustration.
She went on to train as a graphic designer at The London College of Printing and later took her teaching certificate at Morley College.
Whilst making a living as a graphic designer, Jo was fortunate to work for 10 years at the Natural History Museum, London, where she combined both her illustration and design skills, and it was here Jo also taught several natural history Illustration courses.
Jo left the Museum this year to concentrate on both her illustration and teaching work full time. Passionate about natural history, along with traditional drawing and painting skills, Jo strives to ensure her students achieve high standards but at the same time enjoying the pure pleasure of their subjects.
