Melanie Phillips H.N.D

Melanie Phillips is a professional animal and wildlife artist. She was excepted for one of the few places available on the Natural History Illustration course at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design and trained under a variety of working artists and tutors. She passed with distinctions and now runs her own successful business as an animal portrait artists along with her husband Nick Beall whom she met at art college. Nick is also an animal portrait artist, and tutors the Portraiture course for the college.

Melanie joined the team of London art college tutors about 10 years ago and has written and tutored a variety of courses including the young artists courses and the coloured pencil course.

Melanie works full time painting animal portraits as she is commissioned worldwide in a variety of mediums. She uses Graphite Pencil, Coloured Pencil, Pastel, Acrylic and Oils. She is best known for her Oil paintings on Linen canvas and her uniquley styled graphite pencil montage portraits.

Melanie also enjoys web design. She designs and maintains her own websites which total to four sites in all, aswell as her popular Work In Progress Blog and Pet Portraits and Wildlife Forum which is the largest forum of its kind on the internet with over 600 members.

Melanie also runs the online side of the London Art College. She designs and maintains this website and is the administrator for the London Art College Forum, the College News Blog, and provides technical support for the students.
