Rona Cox

Rona trained as a biologist, gaining her degree in the seventies, but she has always had a love for photography, being given her first camera when she was nine.

Although largely self-taught, additional training came from photography classes and, indeed, a correspondence course in film and commercial photography.

She also enjoys art and her love of the natural world is reflected in her work and personal interests.

Rona started her own photography business about 20 years ago, mainly taking portraits and covering weddings, and then developed her first correspondence course in 2005; additional courses were quickly developed.

She particularly enjoys teaching photography to beginners, as well as portraiture, landscape and close up photography, which allows her to indulge her love of all things natural.

As well as covering hundreds of weddings and portrait sessions as a social photographer, she has had work published in newspapers and has been commissioned to take photographs for archaeological societies, medical publications, stately homes, museums and schools.

She has also been an educator for over twelve years in schools, teaching art and photography, and her most recent addition to her business has been Rona’s one-to-one day course, which is useful for those students that require a more hands-on approach.
