BY ENROLLING ON A COURSE WITH THE LONDON ART COLLEGE YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
General Terms -London Art College (LAC) will supply the student with
written study materials, critiques of study units / assignments submitted and
artistic support for two years from the date of enrolment. Course extensions or
re-enrolments will be given at the college’s discretion for a nominal charge.
The college is not liable for work submitted by post that is misplaced by the
postal service.
The college undertakes that the study units / assignments provided are
appropriate and consistent with the statements made to the learner prior to
enrolment. The written course materials provided by LAC are complete within
themselves. It is possible for the learner to complete the course in their own
time without submissions to the college. However to qualify for the college’s
certificate / diploma associated with any course it will be necessary to submit
all required assignments within two years of enrolment. It may be possible to
gain an extension of this time on request, but a further fee will be payable.
Whilst LAC will make every
effort to ensure that you have the same course artist for the duration of the
course we reserve the right to make a change if necessary. Critiques are
intended as a way of giving students confirmation that they have understood the
techniques described in the course material and help to understand how well
they have put those techniques into practice. Critiques are usually prepared
personally for the student by the course tutor in response to assignments
submitted. They can be in the form of an MP3 or in written form such as e-mail
or letter. LAC will, at its discretion, recognise the effort and achievement of
the student by the award of an appropriate Certificate / Diploma. Any appeal
will be reviewed by a member of the college’s management team; the outcome of
which will be final. The college cannot be held responsible for the outcome of
any decisions or actions taken by the student based upon advice given by the
college or any of its representatives.
If the learner does not submit work, or contact the college for a period of two
years the college has the right to de-register the learner. If the learner
wishes to remain on the course and it is within two years of enrolment then a
written request must be submitted. If a student paying the course fees by
instalments misses a payment without satisfactory explanation they will be
deregistered from the course.
LAC reserves the right to use students’ artwork,
which has been submitted to the college for critique; for marketing purposes,
such as the LAC website, forum, and students’ galleries. In an effort to
protect the students’ work it will be marked as copyright protected, but LAC
does not claim copyright for these works, which remain the property of the
student. If you do not wish for your work to be displayed please let us know in
writing and it will be removed. The college is not responsible for saving
student artwork submitted indefinitely.
