Using Gimp

Most students will need to use some form of photo editing software to prepare their artwork for uploading to their tutor in The Art Room. There are plenty of photo editing software packages on the market, both paid for and free. For those students that don't have access to any software on their computer we can recommend Gimp for both PC and Mac. Gimp can be downloaded and used free of charge. Please note - the college has no affiliation with Gimp and other photo editing software programs are available.

Download the latest release of Gimp here - http://www.gimp.org/downloads. You will also find user manuals to download on this page too in many languages.

We have provided some step by step guides for students in the basic features of rotating, cropping, resizing and saving images using Gimp here - Preparing your artwork. We are unable to provide support in how to use Gimp, although many of our students use the software and questions can be posed in The Common Room.
